- Reduce quantities stated in the recipe to half.
- Follow the recipe for the Cajun spice.
- Add oil for the Cardiac Arrest version. Skip the oil for the healthy version.
- Rub the spices onto the steak as shown in the photos.
- If you added the oil: Fry the steak in a skillet for 2 minutes on each side over a medium high flame. This will brown the steak on the outside. If you did not add the oil, you can skip this step.
- Place the steak onto a baking sheet (with foil on the baking sheet).
- Set the oven on bake at 400 degrees and when it is at 400 degrees, cook the steak to your desired level. I preferred medium well, so I left the steak in for 20 minutes.
- Pull the steak out and slice it to see how rare it is. Reducing the time gives you a rarer cut.
- Voila. You now have a Cajun Rib-eye steak that is under $15.
